Amendment of restrictions to allow sale of alcoholic liquor to begin at 10:00 A.M. on June 30, 2024 to coincide with 2024 Chicago Pride Parade
Chicago's Municipal Code's Section 4-60-130 restricts liquor dealers' Sunday operations. The 2024 Chicago Pride Parade, a major event, requires an earlier start for alcohol sales. Alderman Bennett R. Lawson's proposed ordinance, endorsed by the City Council, allows Chapter 4-60 licensees to sell alcohol from 10:00 a.m. on June 30, 2024, with all other rules still applicable. The ordinance takes full effect on that day and is repealed without further Council action on July 1, 2024.
